I want to touch that coldness in you
thats robbed you of your life
icicles ripped your soul apart
and bled you just for spite
Its chill and loathing protected you
or so you may have thought
but now its prisoner you've become
and life could reach you not
Adjusted to the tears you cry
that freeze upon your face
like the jagged lines on a map
that one can barely trace
Some semblance of life must still remain
in your eyes I see a flicker
I feel the love you give to me
yet coldness makes you bitter
The chill has made you feel unworthy
of love and life and me
the fact that you are still alive
gives proof you want to be free
I want to touch that coldness in you
thats robbed you of your life
icicles ripped your soul apart
and bled you just for spite

When you look at me
What do you see
When you look at me
Do you see the woman inside
filled with bountiful pride
Do you see my battle scars
Can you see them from afar
Do you see my beauty bestowed by God
The love for others that fills my heart
What do you see
When you look at me
Do you see how i am forced to adapt
because all you see is the color Black

Acrimony
I feel it crawling through me
As the tapeworm in a frenzy
Touching all aspects of thought and hope
Bitterness and judgment its grip evokes
A cloud that darkens a beautiful day
The blackness that circles as carcasses decay
Disparaging always my existence
I drown in its omnipotence
